HIRANAGAR, May 7: The Annual Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Hiranagar was celebrated with great fervour and zeal in its School premises, here.
Ramesh Kumar, District Development Commissioner, Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sohan Lal Sharma, SDM Hiranagar and VMC Nominee Chairman of KV Hiranagar was also present to grace the occasion.
The function started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
The first programme to be presented was Saraswati Vandana, which was followed by the welcome address by BB Rathore.
The welcome song was presented by the students which mesmerized one and all, which was followed by a welcome action song.
School Principal presented Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the School.
To throw light on the culture of J&K, Dogri dance was presented by students, which was followed by English skit highlighting the fact that man should focus on doing good deeds with a tinge of humour. Rajasthani dance full of enthusiasm and passion was also presented by the students.
A Mime was performed which had the spectators in splits.
Finally, the chief guest gave away the prizes to the students, teacher and also released the school newsletter.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mahesh Chand Pal, PGT Computer Science.
