JAMMU, Dec 7: Kartar Public School hosted Inter-School Essay Writing Competition under the banner of Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu for middle and senior school students where in different CBSE schools of Jammu and Kathua took part.
Sukhpal Singh, ADC Kathua was the chief guest, while Aruna Sharma DEPO Kathua was special guest.
Er Nirmaljeet Singh AMN Chairman Kartar Public School, Harpreet Kaur Principal Kartar Public School and Anil Pathania Technical expert Jammu Sahodaya were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the students and distinguish guests S. Sukhpal Singh ADC Kathua who was the chief guest appreciated the Kartar Public School for hosting such activities designed by Sahodaya.
Aruna Sharma DEPO Kathua also spoke on the occasion.
Er. Nirmaljeet Singh AMN Chairman Kartar Public School along with other dignitaries inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The participants wrote essays on the topic ‘My Expectations from my Prime Minister’ in English category and ‘Desh Ke Uthan Mein Rashtriya Bhasha Hindi Ka Yogdan’ in Hindi category.
Gurdeep Kour, retired Assistant Prof of English faculty from Jammu University and Prof Rakesh Sharma faculty of Hindi from GDC Hiranagar were the jury members.
In Junior Category Hindi Essay Writing Competition, the 1st position was bagged by Sai International School Hiranagar, 2nd position went to Presentation Convent School Jammu and the 3rd position was claimed by Stephens International School R.S Pura Jammu, while Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu won consolation prize.
In Senior Category English Essay Writing Competition, the 1st position was bagged by Heritage School Jammu, 2nd position was won by Presentation Convent School Jammu and the 3rd position was claimed by Sai International School Hiranagar Kathua and DPS Kathua has won consolation prize.
