KPC lifts Volleyball Tourney title

JAMMU, July 7: KP CLUB today lifted title of Volley Ball Tournament by defeating Bishnoi Club by 3-0.
The tournament was organized by GS Sports Club and Kotli Colony Welfare Committee in the loving memory of late Amit Sadotra, who was an outstanding player of Bishnah.
The final match was played between KP Club and Bishnoi Club, which was won by KP Club by 3-0. Farooq Qaiser, SP Headquarters was the chief guest on the occasion while DSP Sourabh Prasher was the guest of honour. Rattan Singh Rana (SHO Bishnah), Surjeet singh (Sarpanch) and Shubham Singh Narania were special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Farooq Qaiser appreciated the role of the youth of Bishnah and their interest towards sports which gave a strong message to youth to adopt any sport for their physical strength and fight against the drug menace in our society. He applauded the role of GS Sports Club to organize this sport event.
He motivated the audience, especially the younger generation to stand strongly against the use of drugs and concentrate on their education and physical strength and do involve themselevs in such programmes organized in their area. He called upon the sport persons and youth to promote local sports like wrestling, kabbadi and other games.
The SP extended his full support in organizing such events in future as well.
