SHOPIAN, Dec 15: District Shopian Taekwondo Championship 2023-24 concluded here today in which Khelo India Taekwondo Centre Shopian lifted the overall championship trophy.
The event was organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Shopian, under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council (JKSC) at Batapora Sports Stadium, Shopian.
Ahtesham Zahoor, President Taekwondo Association of District Shopian was presided as the Chief Guest, along with Incharge Batapora Sports Stadium Mohammad Iqbal and Abdul Hameed.
In his address, Ahtesham appreciated all the medallists and participants for their active involvement in the championships. The role of Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, Muzaffar Hussain (DSO, Kashmir), Atul Pangotra (International Referee/ Coach/ Player), Nisar Hussain (Vice President, JKTA) also lauded for providing this level of platform where players can prove their potential.
Those played crucial role in making the event successful were Aquib Gulzar Taekwondo Coach, Rameez Ahmad, Coach Wushu, Sadia Hussain, Volleyball Coach, Asif Farooq Badminton Coach, Suhail Ahmad Ganie Taekwondo Coach and Syed Taha Taekwondo Coach.
All the medallists from the District Shopian Taekwondo Championship 2023-24 will represent Shopian in the upcoming 26th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships in 2023.
