JAMMU, Dec 15: The 2nd Darshan Mahajan Badminton tournament held at M. A. Stadium, concluded here today which was organised by Akhil Mahajan Badminton Club.
Sham Lal Sharma, former Minister and Senior BJP leader was Chief Guest on this occasion. He distributed the prize among the winners and runner ups of the tournament. A good number of sports lovers were present during the event including Dr. D. O. Sharma, Vice President, Badminton Association of India.
Navneet Mahajan, President Akhil Mahajan Badminton Club, Arvind Gupta, D.V. Sharma, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Anil Gaind, Subhash Sharma, Pawanjit Singh, Anil Gurkha were also present. The matches were organised under the supervision of Divum Gupta, Badminton Coach assisted by Anil Gurkha, Sukhdev Singh and Jaideep Singh.
The results were winner of boys single was Vivan Singh Chib (U-11), girls single was Tara Shan, Boys Single (U-13) Kartik Gupta, Girls single was Pavni Gupta, Boys Single (U-15) Shiwansh, girls single Suhani Sharma, boys double winner were Param and Karan while girls were Suhani and Gania, Boys (U-17 singles Shauryaveer, girls single Shrijus Sharma, Doubles boys Shauryaveer and Aneesh, Boys singles(U-19) winner was Shourya Pratham, girls winner was Krishika Mahajan, in boys doubles were Shauryaveer and Shourya Pratham. In the men’s section winner was Shourya Pratham while in women Krishika Mahajan and in men’s double winners were Vipul and Nakul.
