Khelo India ‘Let’s Play’ Football Tournament in full swing

JAMMU, Feb 5: Football Tournament played under the Government of India Scheme Khelo India ‘Let’s Play’ is in full swing at various zones of Jammu division.
Zonal Physical Education Officers of the Department of Youth Services and Sports leave no stone unturned in making the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative a great success.
The Football tournament was played under Khelo India Scheme at Govt Higher Secondary School Chenani.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of DYSSO Udhampur, Sudesh Kumar Chalotra and the matches were supervised by Usha Kumari, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Chenani. 272 students including boys and girls participated in the tournament.
Khelo India Let’s Play Football Tournament of Gandhi Nagar Zone was held under the supervision of Anju Gupta, Zonal Physical Education Officer. Good number of matches were held in the tournament amid huge participation of students.
The 3-days football tournament Let’s Play under Khelo India Scheme for boys and girls of Zone Tikri concluded here at GHSS Tikri. The tournament was held by the Department of YS & Sports, under the supervision of Veer Ji Bhat, ZPEO Tikri. 83 girls and 151 boys took part in the tournament. The final match was played between GHSS Bharolla A and Bhrolla B in which latter defeated former by 2-0 goals.
The 3rd place went to GHSS Tikri B.
Under the banner of ‘’Let’s Play Co-branded with Khelo India’’ zonal level interschool Competition in football under the age group of 6 to12 years boys and girls of zone Majalta were conducted here at venue Govt Hr Secondary school Majalta.
The tournament was held under the supervision of ZPEO Majalta, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, while the Principal Govt Hr Secondary School Majalta was the chief guest.
About 96 students participated in the tournament. In girls final, Govt Middle School Satrari beat Govt Middle School Bharnara by 3-1, while in boys final, Govt Middle School Majalta beat Govt Middle School Bharnara by 2-1.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports today organized a Zonal Level Inter school Football competition for girls under ‘Khelo India Let’s Play’.
Zonal Physical Education Officer, Santosh Kumari declared open the tournament.
About 92 Girls from various educational   institutions of Zone Udhampur participated in the tournament.
In Under-17 to 19 years category, HS School, Udhampur defeated Higher School Garhi by 2-1, while in Under-6 to 12 years category,   Gopa Mandir defeated Middle School Kharorian with score 2-1. In 13 to 16 years category, GHS Garhi outplayed Government Girls HS Udhampur by 1-0 and won the final match.
Football competition under the scheme of Khelo India was played at Shaeed Rajnesh Playground Ghordy.
Organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, the tournament is being held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education officer Katar Singh. Rashpaul Singh, Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School Ghordy was the chief guest. In 17 to 19 years girls, Govt Higher Secondary School Ghordy defeat Govt. Higher Secondary School Chowky Jandore by 5 points, while in 13  to 16 years girls, Govt High School Nagrota Panjgrian defeated KGBV Ghordy by 1 point and in 6  to 12 years girls, Govt Middle School Ghordy defeated Govt High School Kasuri by 2 points.
The Zonal Level Competitions of Satwari zone in the discipline of Football under Khelo India Programme in the age group of U-19 boys and girls got underway today here at Govt. Model High School Satwari Cantt.
In all, 105 players drawn from Govt/ Pvt Institutions/Pvt Clubs of Zone Satwari are taking part in the competitions. Earlier, the competitions were declared open by Raj Rani, Headmaster Govt. High School Jammu Cantt in a well attended function.
The competitions are being organized by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the supervision of Poonam Kotwal, ZPEO Satwari. Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu distributed the trophies and other prizes among the winners.
The Khelo India Let’s Play Football Tournament of Marh Zone was declared open by Rajesh Singh Rathore, Principal GD Goenka Pubic School in the school ground today. The tournament is being held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Officer, Veena Tikoo.
The Football Tournament of Bhalwal Zone under Khelo India Scheme was held at under the supervision of ZPEO Bhalwal, Jasbir Singh Bhau. The Tournament was declared open by Principal Government Model HSS Domana, Amin Mirza, while Sumeet Sharma, SHO Domana was the chief guest. In 13 to 16 years boys, BHMP Lower Barnai defeated GMS Kate by a solitary goal.
