JAMMU, July 8: Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Friends Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the ongoing JKCA District Jammu Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Friends Cricket Club scored 124 runs in 27.3 overs. Yasir top scored with 48 runs, while Amit and Vishal contributed 21 and 11 runs respectively. From Khalsa Club, Pushpinder, Harjot and Gurpreet took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Khalsa Club chased the target easily in 15.5 overs by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Harpreet top scored with 61 runs, while Gurdeep and Gurpreet contributed 17 and 14 runs to the total respectively. From FCC, Sagar bagged 2 wickets, while Ajay clamed one wicket. Harpreet of Khalsa Club was declared as the man of the match for his magnificent batting display.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh, Vijay Raina and Saleem-ur-Rehman.
