CEO SMVDSB, DC Jammu interact with players

JAMMU, Oct 23: Khadur Sahib Hiockey Academy and Surjit Hockey Aademy registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing ‘Sarbat Da Bhalaa’ Hockey Tournament, being played at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
In the first match played between Khadur Sahib Hockey Academy defeated Peaks XI in an easy contest by 8-2.
In another match, Surjit Hockey Academy Jalandhar defeated SGPC Hockey Academy by (3-0).
Harshdeep Singh and Varinder Singh were adjudged as the players of the match for their outstanding performance for Khadur Sahib Hockey Academy and Surjit Hockey Academy respectively.
Budding player from J&K Manmeet Singh who was selected by the SGPC Hockey Academy was specially honoured by the Organising Committee of the tournament.
Shushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Jammu was the chief guest and Anu Malhotra was the guest of honour in the first match, while in the second match, Simrandeep Singh, CEO SMVDSB was the chief guest and S. Manmeet Singh Director Ranjit Group of Educational Institutions was the guest of honour.
Balvinder Singh President Sikh Progressive was also present on the occasion.
The chief guests interacted with the players on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by S. Manjit Singh, Iqbal Singh, Dalbir Mehta, Ashwani Bhatti, S. Karanjit Singh and Tournament Director Satvir Singh Satti.
