KCMUN-2022 concludes with award ceremony

JAMMU, Nov 7: The three days long KCMUN 2022 came to a close with an awards presentation ceremony, wherein Prof Rajni Kant, Dean, Faculty of Science, University of Jammu presided over the function and gave away awards to outstanding delegates from various schools, here today.
In his address, Prof Kant advised the students to inculcate interest in reading and not getting addicted to their mobiles. He shared his vision of India becoming a significant member of the UNO in the near future.
The conference consisted of seven committees in which delegates debated over significant issues pertaining to the contemporary world and came out with plausible solutions and conclusions.
In UNSC, the best delegate award was secured by Akhileshwar Singh Charak, while high recommendation went to Nihaansh Dev Singh and special mention award was won by Ritvik Singh.
In UNHRC, the best delegate award went to Mahira Sharma, while high recommendation was clinched by Sanvi Arora and special mention went to Ahmed Ayaan. In the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, Sumedha Manhas won best delegate award, while high recommendation went to Sabhya Sharma and Aaradhya Gupta clinched the special mention award.
In AIPPM, best delegate award was won by Medhaj Pathania, while Puneesh Singh won high recommendation and special mention went to Abbas Upadhyay, while in Lok Sabha- 2, Ashmit Jandial, Pradnya Shavan and Ojasvi Koul won best delegate, high recommendation and special mention award respectively.
In crisis committee, best delegate went to Sudaksh Raina, high recommendation was won by Aly Javaid and special mention award was won by Devang Uttamma, while in International Press Journalism, best delegate award went to Pariyal Jandial, high commendation award was won by Dhwani and special mention award went to Vitasta.
In photography, three awards went to Prajwal Sharma, Aamay Gupta and Harith Bhadwal respectively.
Vihaan Gupta, Ojas Kapur, Aadeesh Nargotra, Asechan Chib (Head of logistics) , Saumya Kapur, Archita Gupta, Archit Bhatia, Paritasha Gupta, Adhiraj Singh Jamwal, Shoban Sharma, Maliha Sharma, Rahul Anand, Sharanya Slathia, Arushi Pandita, Harshita Manhas, Dyuti Sharma, Samyagya Chopra, Biraksh Vardan, played a key role in managing the event and making it a huge success.
The students were guided by the MUN coordinators Bhavna Langer and Deepti Sharma throughout the event.
