KCIS holds inter-school junior soccer challenge

JAMMU, Dec 1: KC International School (KCIS) hosted its 5th edition ‘Junior Soccer Challenge’ for Under-14 boys in the School premises to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, here today.
A good number of schools participated with lots of enthusiasm, passion and vigour in the tournament. The main objective of the tournament was to bring forth the importance of sports in the holistic development of the younger generation.
Senior chairperson of KCIS, Saroj Mahajan graced the occasion as the chief guest, while  Chaitanya Chowdhary, president KCIS embraced the event as guest of honour and member of management, Shikha Chowdhary was the special guest.
The tournament commenced with all the participating teams marching on the beats of drums.
In (Pool- A), the first day quarter-final was won by APS Kaluchak by 5 goals. On Day -2, the event started with march past, electrifying aerobic dance and spectacular yoga performance.
The first semi-final was played between APS Akhnoor and APS Kaluchak wherein APS Akhnoor won the match. In another semi-final Jodhamal Public School played with APS BD Bari and APS BD Bari emerged as winner.
The final match was played between APS Akhnoor and APS BD Bari which was won by APS Akhnoor.
President KCIS Chaitanya Chowdhary congratulated all the participating teams for their superb display of Football skills, while Principal Anupama Sinha presented the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of the team KCIS for making the event a great success.
