JAMMU, Oct 15: Khalsa Cricket Club (KCC) outplayed Junior Khalsa Cricket Club (JKCC) by 19 runs and registered berth in the next round of the ongoing Sikh Premier League, being organized by Khalsa Club at Baba Jhulla Camp, Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, KCC set a target of 173 runs by losing 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Vivek was the highest scorer with 59 runs, while Harpreet and Harinder Pal chipped in 37 runs each.
For JKCC side, Kawalpreet scalped 2 wickets, while Gagandeep and Jagandeep clinched one wicket each.
In the second inning, JKCC failed to chase the target and bunled out at 152 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Kawalpreet made 29 runs, while Balvinder and Tanveer scored 28 and 27 runs respectively.
For KCC side, Harpreet scalped 3 wickets, while Gurpreet took 2 wickets and Amandeep clinched one wicket.
Harpreet Singh of KCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Mankaran Singh and Hardeep Singh as umpires, while Sukhwinder Singh acted as score.
On the occasion, Dr Amarjeet Singh was the chief guest, who awarded the winner team and asked the youth to participate in sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically fit.
