Iran, Korea register wins in Kabaddi WC

AHMEDABAD, Oct 15:
Iran survived a scare against Japan to record their fourth successive win of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup at the TransStadia Arena here tonight. Japan’s raiders outscored Iran but it wasn’t enough as they fell short in the first half.
Iran are now top of Group B with 20 points from four games whereas Japan are second with 10 points from three games.
Meanwhile, Republic of Korea produced a strong team performance to beat Australia 63-25 to assure a place in the semi finals.
It was Republic of Korea’s fourth successive win and secured this win without their star man Jang Kun Lee. (UNI)
