JAMMU, July 12: Khalsa Cricket Club (KCC) and KC Sports Club crushed rivals in their respective matches and registered berth in the next round of the ongoing Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Premier League, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
In the first match of the day, KCC smashed Bhole Nath Cricket Club by 6 wickets and sailed in the next stage of the tourney.
Batting first, BNCC made 109 runs for all out in 18.1 overs. Bonny was the highest scorer with 51 runs, while Buggie and Kali made 27 and 12 runs respectively.
From KCC side, Nitin was the top scorer with 3 wickets, while Harpreet took 2 wickets. Aman, Mannu, Vishal and Sunny clinched one wicket each.
In reply, KCC chased the target in 15 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Harpreet Singh smashed some crispy shots and made 57 runs, while Farooq made 10 runs.
From BNCC side, Lablu and Anku scalped 2 wickets each.
Harpreet Singh of KCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In the second match, KC Sports Club registered 5 wickets win over NMCC and registered berth in the next phase of the tournament.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, NMCC scored 85 runs for all out in 20 overs. Kaka was the top scorer with 15 runs, while Lucky made 11 runs. Bhanu and Shalu chipped in 10 runs each.
From KC Sports Club side, Raman was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Rohan, Karan took 2 wickets. Vivek and Arjun Choudhary clinched one wicket each.
In the second inning, KC Sports Club chased the target in 16 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Sahil Mahotra made 26 runs, while Ateev Saini and Abhishant Bakshi scored 15 and 12 runs respectively.
From NMCC side, Kaka and Bika took 2 wickets, while Shalu scalped one wicket.
Aman of KC Sports Club was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Madan Lal, Sanju, Sandeep Manchanda, Sadiq Hussain Malik and Vinod Kandyara.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Challenger Cricket Club will take on Bhole Nath Cricket Club and Baloria Cricket Club will lock horns with KC Sports Club.
