JAMMU, May 31: KC Gurukul Public School (KCGPS) Jammu today organized a function in its premises.
The function started with the march past by the young leaders of the School, followed by honoring them with sashes and batches and oath taking ceremony where they pledged to carry out their assigned duties.
Corporator of Ward Number 61, Mohinder Kumar graced the occasion as chief guest along with Chairman of the School Arvind Mahajan, Chairperson Sanjita Mahajan and Academic Director Anu Jandial.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohinder Kumar motivated the students to bring a positive change in the society. He also encouraged the students to participate whole heartedly in the cleanliness drive in the city. He emphasized on avoiding the use of polythene bags for the betterment of the society.
Earlier, Mamta Sharma, Principal KCGPS presented welcome address.
Kanan Gupta was elected as School Captain, Anshika as Sports Captain, Daan Kour as Cultural Captain and Jasneet & Mahatav (Discipline Captain) from class XII.
Vasu Sharma was elected as Vice Head Boy, Bhoomika Sharma as Vice Head Girl, Neeharika Sharma and Charukesh Zutshi as Vice Sports Captain, Mahi Bhagat and Priyansh Singh as Vice Cultural Captain and Mahanya Rajput and Pranav Gupta as Vice Discipline Captain.
The event was concluded with the National Anthem.
