JAMMU, Apr 11: Kawa College of Education launched Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) preparatory classes.
While interacting with the media, MS Katoch, Chairman of the group said that the institutions is going to start TET preparatory classes for the students, who wish to establish their career in the field of teaching at school level.
He added that the Government of India in order to ensure better quality in the school education has made it mandatory for all the recruits in teaching profession to be TET qualified and has started CTET at central level, whereas the State Government is also free to conduct similar test at regular intervals as per their requirement.
Kawa College of Education working in the said sector decided to take the necessary initiative to start the preparatory classes for CTET programme for forthcoming examination, which is scheduled to be held in couple of months he informed.
Katoch further said that Kawa has decided to launch this programme not only in Jammu, but will expand its network to different districts of J&K and also at national level.
“In the first phase, Kawa has planned to open centres in northern part of the country and the whole process is divided in to four phases and finally it will have 600 centres throughout the country”, Katoch informed.
He also said that in order to provide quality material and training for CTET, Kawa has tied up with the academicians of national repute.
Prof (Dr) NS Gupta, Advisor of Kawa Group, Abhimanyu Katoch, MD, Dr Anita Bali, Principal, Anjana Bavouria, CEO, Richa Dubey, Coordinator, CTET Kawa and Talwinder Kour, Coordinator, ICF were also present.
