JAMMU, Oct 23: Kavya Kochhar of J&K bagged Bronze medal in 10 mtr Air Pistol in All India Kumar Surendra Singh Inter-School Shooting Championship in Sub-Junior Girls Category which was held at Assansol, West-Bengal.
A total of two shooters have participated in the championship.
Earlier, Shreya Saksena of Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association had also won Gold medal in 50 mtrs Rifle 3-position (NR) in both Junior and Senior Women Categories in 36th North-Zone Shooting Championship which was held at New-Delhi. She also got Gold medals in both Junior and Senior Categories with the score 609.1/600 in same championship.
A total of 24 shooters have participated in the championship.
The shooters who participated in both championships were selected on the performance in District Level Championships and 7th J&K State Shooting Championship which was held at Katra.
Dilbag Singh IPS, ADGP along with other members of Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association congratulated the medal winners and coach Rajesh Virdhy and hoped that J&K marksmen will secure more medals in forthcoming National Level Competitions and bring pride for the State and Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association.
