Kashyap Cricket Club Clinches KPL Veteran Cup-26 Title

JAMMU, Feb 8: Kashyap Cricket Club emerged champions of the KPL Veteran Cup -26, defeating Lions Cricket Club by 13 runs in a thrilling final played at KC Sports Club, Jammu.
Batting first, Kashyap Cricket Club posted a competitive total of 169 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Deepak top-scored with a fluent 51, while Rohit Raina contributed a valuable 48 runs. For Lions Cricket Club, Jitender Bhat and Vinod Koul impressed with the ball, claiming two wickets each.
In reply, Lions Cricket Club fought hard but fell short of the target, finishing 13 runs behind. Vinod Koul (35) and Aseem Bhat (34) were the main contributors with the bat. From the bowling side, SB picked up three wickets, while Deepak and Arvind Bakshi claimed two wickets each to seal the victory for Kashyap Cricket Club.
For his all-round performance in the final, Deepak was adjudged Man of the Match. Sandeep was awarded Best Batsman, Jitender Bhat received the Best Bowler award, and Sunil Dutt was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
The tournament was organized by Mr. Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Mr. Anil Ambardar, and Mr. Sanjay Koul, in association with KC Sports Club Jammu, in the fond memory of Late Sh. Sanjay Bhat.
The final match and prize distribution ceremony were graced by Mr. P. N. Tickoo along with other distinguished dignitaries, adding prestige to the occasion.
