JAMMU, May 31: The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha Jammu held its 15th consecutive function today at the Sabha premises to honour meritorious students of the Kashmiri Pandit community for outstanding performance in Class 12 examinations conducted by CBSE and JK BOSE.
Twenty-eight students who scored 90% and above were awarded certificates, mementos and cash prizes. Chief Guest, Dr. Ashok Bhan, former DGP J&K and K. K. Khosa, President KP Sabha, presented the awards to the toppers.
The awardees included Hetal Koul, Shirrin Labroo, Manik Pandita, Swanman Koul, Lavanya Pandit, Sunanda Pandit, Isha Langoo, Karan Koul, Eishta Bhan, Saksham Raina, Dhruv Raina, Kritika Pandit, Sidhant Raina, Jivika Koul, Tejasvi Pandita, Deepshika Pandit, Shriya Bhat, Sheen Raina, Rouvin Koul, Aditi Bhat, Ojasvee Tickoo, Chitrakshi Pandita, Kamakshi Kichloo, Shreeya Labroo, Menika Baghni Bhat, Janvi Raina, Renisha Bhat and Apurv Pandita.
President K. K. Khosa advised the students to shoulder responsibilities towards the community and UT, encouraging them to pursue streams that enable them to serve Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted opportunities in higher education, research, start-ups and civil services. Dr. Ashok Bhan emphasized perseverance, urging students to aim for civil services to uplift the community.
Executive members present included Ashwani Koul, G. J. Kampasi, Rajinder Tiku, Subash Dhar, Dr. Usha Tickoo, V. K. Bakshi, V. K. Mukhi, Satish Khoda, Bharat Bhushan Gosaini, S. K. Kaul and Nimi Braroo. The vote of thanks was delivered by Deepak Dhar.
