7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Nov 16: Kashmir XI Secretariat and KC Sports Cricket Academy registered wins and entered in the next stage of the league round of the ongoing 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, which is being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club at Parade Ground, here today.
In today’s matches, SSP RK Bhat was the chief guest whereas Inderjeet Sharma CPO RPHQ Udhampur and cricket lover was the guest of honour.
In the first match, Kashmir XI Secretariat defeated Lions Cricket Club by 32 runs. Batting first, Kashmir XI Secretariat scored 149 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Mohsin scored 41 runs, while Danish made 37 runs and Rayees chipped in 24 runs.
From bowling side, Sahil, Rahul and Suresh took 2 wickets each while Gourav took 1 wicket.
In reply, Lions Cricket Club could not chase the target and managed to score 117 in 18.2 overs for the loss of all wickets thus lost the match by 32 runs. Munna with 46 runs, Nikhil with 12 runs and Dinesh with 10 runs were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Asif took 4 wickets, whereas Tahir, Haseeb and Sakib scalped 2 wickets each.
Asif was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling performance.
In another match, KC Sports Academy outclassed Cant Cricket Club by 10 wickets. Batting first, Cant Cricket Club scored 121 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Raj Kumar chipped in 31 runs, Sajid made 28 runs and Babar scored 19 runs.
For KC Sports Academy, Rithik took 5 wickets and Abhinav scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, KC Sports Academy chased the target in 13.4 overs without losing any wicket thus won the match by 10 wickets. Sidharth scored magnificent 62 runs and Vikas chipped in 52 runs.
Rithik was adjudged as Man of the Match for his bowling performance.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Vijay.
In tomorrow’s fixture Khalsa Club will take on Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, while KC Sports will clash with Raja Warriors.
