Kashmir-origin student among top Women Leaders

JAMMU, Apr 14: In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir-origin student Anavi Kaul, currently pursuing Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, USA, has been featured among North Carolina’s Top Women Leaders 2026.
Maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, Anavi is on the Dean’s List with Distinction and serves as Co-President of the Duke Engineering Student Government, representing over 1,400 undergraduate students. She is also an undergraduate researcher at the Musah Lab, contributing to advanced biomedical research, including kidney disease studies using innovative chip-based models.
Anavi has held several academic and leadership roles, including Pratt Research Fellow, Teaching Assistant and Peer Success Leader, while actively participating in cultural initiatives.
A former student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, she secured a perfect IB score of 45/45. She is the daughter of Avinash Kaul, former CEO of Network18, with roots in Srinagar.
