Kashmir Division registers win in opening match

KATHUA, Nov 26: Department of Youth Services and Sports organized Inter Division State Level Cricket Tournament for U-14 boys at Sports Stadium Hiranagar.
The tournament was inaugurated by Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) Hiranagar Suresh Kumar Sharma in the presence of Tehsildar Hiranagar Avtar Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officers Yog Raj Sharma and Rajesh Kumar and other officials.
The tournament is being organized on the basis of best of 3. The first match which was inaugurated by the SDM was won by Kashmir division by six wickets.
Jammu opted to bat first after winning toss and made 73 runs in prescribed 16 overs. In reply, Kashmir Division achieved the target in 14 over by losing four wickets.
Siddharth and Dhruv of Jammu made 12 and 18 runs respectively while Azahid of Kashmir scored 29 runs and remained not out. Similarly, Mohib added 27 runs in 31 balls with 4 boundaries. The match was officiated by Avinash Kumar, Mohan Lal, Tarsem Sharma, Omkar Singh and Kulbushan Singh.
The other two matches will be played tomorrow.
