SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Two matches of premier division were played today in the ongoing Khyber Premier Football League 2021 at synthetic turf TRC here.
In the first match, Kashmir Avenger FC thrashed Iqbal Sports team by six goals to nil in a one sided encounter. Kashmir Avenger FC dominated the match right from the start of the play and the helpless defenders of Iqbal Sports couldn’t match them.
Kelvin opened the account for the Kashmir Avenger FC in 19th minute of the match and in 37th minute, Farhan doubled the lead. The first half score was 2:0 in favour of Kashmir Avenger FC.
In the second half, Kashmir Avenger players were all over the ground and Kelvin scored three goals back to back in 52nd, 75th and 82nd minutes of the game, while Muntazir of Kashmir Avenger scored 6th goal of the match ensuring a thumping victory for his team.
The Iqbal Sports players tried their best to score, but the defence lines of Kashmir Avenger FC team thwarted all their attempts.
At the end, the score line read 6-0 in favour of Kashmir avenger FC. Kelvin was declared as Man of the Match.
The second match of the day was played between JKSPDC XI and Arco FC. As the match started, forwards of both the teams started attacking each other’s goalpost to seize an early initiative.
Arco FC succeeded in their effort when Moin scored the first goal for his team in 42nd minute of the play. Leading by a goal, lifted the confidence of the Arco FC and they continued to attack opposite goalpost with higher frequency.
JK SPDC XI also played marvelous game and tried their best to find an equalizer but failed.
The first half score was 1:0 in favour of Arco FC. In the 2nd half, both teams tried hard to score but no one was able to succeed and the score-line read 1-0 in favour of Arco FC.
In the ongoing A-Division Annual League Football Tournament, two matches were played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh here. In the first match, Yahya Warsi FC defeated Spartans FC by a solitary Goal, whereas the second match played between Eleven Star FC and Sporting FC ended in a draw with goal score 1:1. Mehraj was declared as Man of the Match.
The tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
