Karan, Arti, Rohit emerge winners in special child 300 meter race

JAMMU, Apr 21: Students of Tiger Asha Army School namely Karan, Arti and Rohit Kumar emerged first, second and third in the special child 300 meter race, organised on the concluding day of the four day long Roller Skating Championship by Millo’s Roller Skating Club at Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peerkho, here today.
In Sub-Junior Hockey, Millo’s Club emerged winner, while Five Star and Gliders Club secured second and third positions respectively.
In Sub-Junior Girls, Environment Club thrashed Five Star Club and lifted the title trophy.
In Junior Boys, Millo’s Club and Indiano Club emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In Senior Boys, Addiction Roller Hockey Club emerged winner, while Millo’s Roller Skating Institute and Roller Athlete Skating Club secured second and third positions respectively.
In Inline Senior Hockey, Indiano Club thrashed Gliders Club and emerged winner.
On the valedictory function, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Minister for Relief, Revenue and Rehabilitation was the chief guest, who presented medals to the winners in presence of Usha Anand, vice principal, Environment Educational Institute, Trilok Singh Bishat, Principal, Jodhamal Public School, GS Khurmi, president, J&K Roller Skating Association, Roshan Gupta, president, Millo’s Roller Skating Club, Kamal Anand, organsing secretary, participants and their parents.
While speaking, Ajaz Ahmed Khan threw light on the importance of the sports in day-to-day life.
He asked the participants to take part in the sports activities for overall development of their body vis-à-vis mentally and physically.
