JU’s inter-department tournament in full swing

JAMMU, May 19: Inter-departmental tournaments, being conducted by Campus Sports Committee of University of Jammu are going on in full swing in the disciplines of Cricket (Male), Badminton (Women & Men), and Carrom (Men & Women), here today.
In Cricket (Male), Urdu department beat Chemistry department by 6 wickets, while Law School trounced Education department by 9 wickets, whereas in Volleyball (Male), Geology defeated History by 2-0 sets, MCA trounced ICCCR & HRM by 2-1sets and Physical Education defeated Law department by 2-0 sets.
In semi-finals Chess (Male), Economics beat Sanskrit by 2-1, while Sociology trounced Business School by 2-0 in Chess male events, besides Economics department beat Sociology department by 2-0 in male category in the final, while Economic trounced Chemistry 2-0 in women finals.
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Jai Bharat, Padam Dev Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sanjeev Sharma and others.
The tournaments were organized under the supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba chairman, Campus Sports Committee University of Jammu.
