JAMMU, Feb 20: Jammu University Non Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) celebrated its Annual Day amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, University of Jammu, here today.
Prof R.D Sharma, Vice-Chancellor was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Satnam Kour, Dean Student Welfare, Sanjeev Mahajan, Controller of Examinations, Directors, Faculty members, Officers and Non-teaching Employees.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, accompanied by the other dignitaries.
This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges.
The Organising Secretary, Vikas Langer started the proceeding of the annual day function followed by the formal welcome address by the President, JUNTEU.
An impressive cultural programme was also the part of the event.
This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony among the participants who displayed their exceptional talent during the cultural events.
Prof Sharma in his speech lauded the organizers for beautiful presentation.
Vote of thanks was presented by Ashwani Bakshi, Vice President of the Union.
Vikas Langer and Shehnaz Akhter anchored the cultural programme.
