JAMMU, Mar 6: Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma announced Rs 25 lakh for the development of Sports Stadium at Rehal village in Bishnah area during the inaugural ceremony of T-20 Cricket match and also held a public meeting at Majua, here today.
The Member Parliament announced Rs 35 lakh for the various development works under its MPLAD funds including Rs 25 lakhs for development of Sports Stadium at Rehal, Rs 5 lakh for construction of Community Toilet Complex and at Majua and Rs 5 lakh was announced for the construction of waiting shed at cremation ground in Panchayat Rehal Dhamalian.
Former MLA, Ashwani Sharma, DDC Members Dharminder, Surekha Devi and senior BJP leaders visited village Rehal and Majua in Bishnah Constituency along with Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore and inaugurated Cricket match at village Rehal and also held public meeting at Majua.
While interacting with players, the MP boosted their morale and team spirit. He said that fair play is one of the basic requirements for a sport to be competitive. Each player should have a sportsman spirit, while the games and sports make a person physically and mentally fit and team spirit teaches us the lesson of integration and patriotism.
The MP while addressing the gathering said that Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to develop every corner in rural areas and Bishnah Constituency will also get its share of development.
BDC Kuldeep Raj, MC VP ML Rao, Mandal president Gagan Bhatia, senior BJP leaders Ayodhya Gupta, Satish Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Surinder Bhagat, Narayan Dutt, Raghunandan Sharma, Mahant Rajesh Bittu, Sham Lal, Raj Singh, Jai Bharat, Rajeev and Sarpanch Majua Suraj Singh were present during the event.
Meanwhile, Bishnah Cricket Club (BCC) registered a comprehensive win over Media XI Cricket Club Jammu (Media XI) in a friendly T20 cricket match which was organised by Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath Charitable Trust under the chairmanship of Surinder Bhagat -BJP Prabhari Chandigarh at Rehal Stadium.
BCC won the toss and elected to bat first. BCC scored 171 runs by losing 6 wickets, while Media-XI failed to chase the set target. Shiva from BCC was declared as player of the match for his match-winning half century.
