JU team registers big win over CCSU

JAMMU, Nov 9: Team of University of Jammu trounced CCS University Hisar (Green) and registered a big win of 71 runs in the ongoing Vice Chancellor Cup, being played at Hisar in Haryana, today.
Limiting the game due to rain, CCS University Hisar (Green) was given a target of 111 runs in 10.1 overs by the University of Jammu’s team wherein Suheel Fazal top scored with 28 runs, followed by Vishal Sudan who scored 27 runs.
The JU defended the target convincingly as CCSU Hisar (Green) only managed to score 40 runs in its allotted 10.1 overs. Rajesh was amongst the pick of the bowlers who claimed 4 wickets, whereas Raj Kumar Bakshi and Balwant shared one wicket each.
Rajesh was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant performance with the ball.
Director, Sports and Physical Education, Dr Daud Iqbal congratulated the team. Mukesh and Dr Noor-ul-Asrar Beg from the team management also applauded the team effort for this convincing win.
