JU organizes Online Art & Craft Competition

JAMMU, Nov 4: Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu in its continuous efforts of providing a virtual platform to students to showcase their talents organized Online Art and Craft Competition.
The results of these competitions were announced today by Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare.
First position in Painting has been secured by Bharti Heer from The Law School, JU whereas second and third positions were secured by Nitika Khullar from Department of Environmental Sciences, JU and Shabeena Khurshid from Stephens College of Nursing Jammu respectively. The competition was adjudged by Prof Sanjana Kaul.
First position in Cartooning was secured by Sivani Devi from Stephens College of Nursing whereas second and third positions were secured by Shabnam Mazhair from Stephan College of Nursing and Vishali Jamwal from KC College of Education respectively. Certificate of Merit was awarded to Ritika Gupta from The Law School, JU. The competition was adjudged by Manoj Chopra.
First position in Mehndi has been secured by Shaesta Bano from GCW, Gandhi Nagar whereas second and third positions were secured by Pritika Gupta from School of Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu and Bharti Heer from The Law School, JU respectively. The competition was adjudged by Dr Sarika Manhas.
First position in Poster Making has been secured by Mohinder Kumar from Department of Environmental Sciences, JU whereas second and third positions were secured by Bharti Heer from The Law School, JU and Vasudha Sharma from Department of Law, JU respectively. Certificate of Merits were awarded to Nekha Rani from Stephen College of Nursing and Poonam Sharma from BMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences J&K. The competition was adjudged by Amir Almansoor.
First position in Rangoli has been secured by Anjali Jain from GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu whereas second position was shared by Agamya from Cluster University of Jammu and Mohinder Kumar from Department of Environmental Science, JU. Third position was secured by Nekha Rani from Stephens College of Nursing. The competition was adjudged by Prof Samridhi Arora.
Certificate of Appreciation in Sketching was awarded to Ritika Gupta from The Law School, JU and Anmol Bains from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, JU.
Certificate of Appreciation in Collage Competition was awarded to Bharti Heer from The Law School, JU and Mohinder Kumar and Anmol Bains from Department of Environmental Science, JU.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare emphasized that nothing was possible without the support and participation of students. He urged students, scholars and members of Civil Society to participate more and more in such competitions which are organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu from time to time.
Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu said that department should organize more such activities and involve a large number of students and other youngsters to participate in these activities.
The competition was organized under the guidance of Prof Anupama Vohra, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee and Prof Samridhi Arora, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee.
The competition was coordinated by Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer, (SW) and technical support was provided by Arif Paul, Technical Assistant (SW).
