JU eves enter Pre-QFs in NZ Inter-University Volleyball

JAMMU, Sept 13: University of  Jammu entered  into the Pre-quarterfinal round  of the  ongoing  North-Zone Inter University Volleyball (Women) Tournament 2017-18, being  organized  by  Dr Y S Parmar University, Solan, Himanchal Pradesh at its  Campus.
Earlier, University of  Jammu outplayed  Kashmir University by  straight sets (3-0) with set scores as 25-21, 25-18 & 25-15. Shiwali Dogra, Shivali Kumari, Reya Jamwal, Shalvi Charak and Eva Singh were  the  star  performers  of  the  match and  contributed  most  of  the points  for  the team.
Earlier, University of Jammu also defeated Sharda University, Noida by (3-0) sets in its inaugural match.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu congratulated the team for its victory over Kashmir University.
Meanwhile, semis line-up has been drawn in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Basketball (Men) Tournament 2017-18 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Basketball Court.
Earlier, in the quarterfinal matches, SPMR College of Commerce beat GDC Udhampur by 32-09; MAM College drubbed GDC Kathua by 38-29. GGM Science trounced ASCOMS, Sidhra by 27-14 and PG Department outplayed GCET Jammu by 39-23.
