JSSJ hosts inter-school debate competition

JAMMU, Nov 5: Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu (JSSJ) hosted an inter-school bilingual turncoat on present day distractions-addictions or simulations under the banner of Sahodaya School Complex Jammu in the School premises, here today.
Shridhar Patil, Director Telecommunications J&K Police was the chief guest, Dr Rajni Bala, Prof and Head Hindi Department, University of Jammu and Dr Rupali Sharma, Lecturer GDC Udhampur were the adjudicators and Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairperson, Sonakshi Anand, Director Operations and other dignitaries were present during the event.
The function commenced by presentation of saplings as a token of love to dignitaries, followed by lightening of lamps and invocation of ‘Goddess Sarawasti’. The August gathering was addressed by Avneet Kour Budhraja,Vice Principal.
The participants debated on the topic simultaneously in Hindi and English which tested their oratory skills and made the competition all the more interesting.
Chief guest Shridhar Patil guided the students to overcome their fears in life and also appreciated the efforts of the School for organising such a fruitful and marvellous competition.
The first position was clinched by Mukund Choudhary of APS BD Bari, 2nd by Nischal Verma of Rich Harvest School, 3rd by Ananya Singh of IDPS, whereas 1st consolation was bagged by Akshat Singh of APS Damana, 2nd consolation by Hargun Anand of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu and 3rd consolation by Kushagra Mishra of APS, Akhnoor.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Prabjot Kour (Headmistress of the School). Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice- Chairperson conveyed her gratitude to the chief guest, adjudicators and all the dignitaries for their presence.
