Zonal Level T20 Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Mar 29: JSK Strikers will take on Poonch Panthers in the final of the ongoing Zonal Level T20 Cricket Cup for Under-19 boys at KC Sports Club, tomorrow.
The tournament is being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police.
In the first semi final match today, JSK Strikers defeated Rajouri Sunrisers by 61 runs. Batting first JSK Strikers scored 178 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs match. Kartik Sharma 61 runs, Aditya 42 runs and Vinayak 25 runs were the main scorers.
From the bowling side, Sahil and Sunny took 2 wickets each while Umar took 1 wicket.
In reply, Rajouri Sunrisers failed to chase the target and managed to score 117 runs in allotted 20 overs by losing 9 wickets thus lost the match by 61 runs. Sunny 27 runs, Mazar 23 runs and Piyush 22 runs were the main scorers.
From the bowling side, Abay Tondon took 4 important wickets, whereas Kartik and Vansh took 2 wickets each.
Kartik Sharma was declared as man of the match for his brilliant all round performance.
In another semifinal match, Poonch Panthers defeated Chenab Valley Superkings by 74 runs. Batting first Chenab Valley Superkings scored 93 runs in 16 overs with Umar 19 runs, Wasim Ul Rehman 17 and Sunil 12 runs.
From the bowling side, Toheed and Ilias took 3 wickets each while Umar took 2 wickets for the team.
In reply, Poonch Panthers chased the target in 8 overs by losing 2 wickets thus won the match by 8 wickets. Kafeel 35 runs, Toheed 25 runs and Irfan 10 runs were the main scorers.
From the bowling side, Faizan took 2 wickets for Chenab Valley Superkings.
Toheed from Poonch Panthers was declared as man of the match for his brilliant all round performance with both bat and ball.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanjay and Sabestian.
In final match tomorrow, DGP Dilbag Singh will be the chief guest, who will distribute the trophies and prizes among the players and officials, informed Rajesh Gill Coordinator of the event.
