DODA, June 16: Joura Cricket Club (JCC) Doda registered convincing victory over Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Thathri by 19 runs in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
The event is sponsored by J&K Bank Ltd, Zum Zum Sweets (Kud Wale), Mumtaz Building Material Doda, Hotel Doda Darbar, Green Model Hr Secondary School Doda, Shaheen Pub Hr Secondary School Doda, Chenab Valley Pub Hr Sec School Doda and Natnoo Furnishing House.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, FCC Doda set a good total of 181 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sandeep Kumar top scored with 46 runs while Pardeep Mansh contributed 35 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Umar Ganai, Imran Latief and Adil Jan bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Thathri managed to score 162 runs for the loss of 9 wickets to lose the match by 19 runs. Umar Ganai played a fine knock of 100 runs off 62 balls while Adil Jan contributed 12 runs to the total. From bowling side, Pardeep Mansh bagged 4 important wickets while Anjesh Singh took 2 wickets. Pardeep Mansh of Joura Cricket Club Doda was declared as the man of the match for his all-round performance who was given prize by District Health Officer, Dr Tariq Masood along with Ashok Shan.
The match was officiated by Irshad Malik and Harish Raza as umpires while Abdal Shenali and Sandeep Kaushik were the scorers.
