JAMMU, Dec 3: Jodhamal Public School put up a colourful bonanza on its 12th Annual Day with pomp and show, here today.
The students of Class I to IV displayed their skill and talent in the Multipurpose Hall of the School.
Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education was the chief guest and Balwant Thakur, Padamshree, Regional Director ICCR (J&K) was the guest of honour.
Vikar Rasool, MLA and Firdos Tak, Member of Legislative Council were also present on the occasion. They were welcomed by the Management, Principal and the Vice Principal.
The Annual Day was bound to be a befitting occasion for the spontaneous outburst of the high spirits of the students in a wide range of creativity.
The Programme started with the welcome speech by the SPL (Boys) Master Palmer Singh, followed by the traditional lighting of map by the dignitaries. The school Orchestra spell bound the audience with captivating array of tunes and the well-controlled.
The students presented their talent philharmonic notes during the fantastic series of presentation. The first cultural item was GOD IS ONE, a spiritual enactment of SARV DHARMA, followed by a dance of Girls of Class-I, which set the audience to clap and tap. Next to follow were the CLASSIC ELEMENTS creating public awareness on environmental pollution. The Un-forgetful Warrior Ghatothkach was an exclusive presentation depicting the strength of the mighty son of Bheem and Hidimba lay down his life for the betterment of the people. The item which followed was the Shimmy Shake was laudable indeed. The mobile menace was shown in the form of MIME in 4 acts depicting different occasion.
The much awaited item was the Prize Distribution, where the students who have excelled in various International, National, State and Inter-District competitions were called up at stage to be awarded.
The Trustee, Nandan Kuthiala addressed the gathering and announced a new Rai Bahadur Jodhamal Kuthiala Scholarship for girls studying in classes 9th to 12th in Govt. Schools, affected by cross border shelling.
The Principal of the School, Trilok Singh Bist presented the school Annual Report focused on the school’s achievement and accolades of the JMPiians.
He also conveyed that the school had yet again been adjudged number one in J&K State in the nation-wide survey done by Education World & C-Fore a Bangalore based rating agency. Recently, another feather has been added to the Jodhamal Family of the International School Award by the British Council for the year 2016-19.
Vote of thanks was presented by the SPL (Girls), Danish Butt followed by National Anthem.
