JKTA organizes 3rd Association Cup Taekwondo C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 7: Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association organized 3rd Association Cup Taekwondo Championship in Collaboration with Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, University of Jammu, here.
The Championship began on October 4 and concluded today at Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu.
Total 900 players from different districts of J&K participated in this mega event.
The welcome address was done by Anuj Sharma, Organising Secretary of JKTA.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while SM Bali, former Secretary General Handball Federation of India and Ajay Salaan, District Social Welfare Officer Jammu was guest of honour.
Vikas Gupta, Joint Secretary Judo Federation of India and General Secretary J&K Judo Association, Sandhya Gupta, Chairperson WCMP, PC Sharma (Patron JKTA), DN Pangotra President JKTA, Jagjit Singh General Secretary JKTA, Subash Shastri (President National Majdoor Sang and Secretary Qwan Ki Do Association of J&K) Ramesh chander (Joint Secretary JKTA, Manager Brahman Sabha) , Rajan Gupta Principal Little Angel Public School, Jai Bharat Sr. Wrestling Coach, Pawan Grover and Kapil Pangotra were the special guests. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that JKTA is playing a great role in giving excellent platform to the youth of J&K by organising such events.
He also assured every possible help regarding development of Taekwondo and organising of Taekwondo events in future. The bouts were officiated by National referees’ TFI, under the supervision of Atul Pangotra Chairman Referee Committee TFI.
Finally, the guests of honours and special guests distributed medals and trophies among the winners.
The whole junction was presided over by Rajinder Singh.
The vote of thanks was presented by Atul Pangotra.
