JKSRSK wins 11 medals in Karate C’ship

JAMMU, June 4: All J&K Shito-Ryu Seifukan Karate Do Association won 11 medals, with 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals in the recently concluded 30th All India Karate Championship held at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Kashmir.
IGP Dilbag Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, Shalinder Ghulati Director Tata Motors, Swarn Singh ARTO Ramban, S. Bali Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Kashmir and Sidharth Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Jammu were the guests of honour.
Shihan Minoru Kanazawa WKF ‘A’ Grade Referee was also present on the occasion.
The  medalists included Abhijeet Singh Chib (Gold in Kumite, Bronze in Kata), Mohit Singh (Silver in Kumite), Neeraj Singh (Gold in Kumite), Vishesh Pandita (Bronze in Kumite, Bronze in Kata), Akshun Slathia (Silver in Kata), Shreeya Labroo (Silver in Kumite, Bronze in Kata), Vasavi Sharma (Gold in Kumite) and Sanyam Labroo (Bronze in Kumite).
Association Chairman, Ayodhya Gupta, President Joginder Singh Manhas, General Secretary, Surinder Gupta lauded the efforts of the players and coach Amit Singh, Style Chief Coach\Examiner, Team Manager, Vikas Dhar and Assistant Team Manager, Abhijeet Singh Chib for this achievement.
Renmai Goju-Ryu Karate Do Federation, Shihan Sanjeev Dewan was also present on the occasion.
Vikas Dhar and Abhijeet Singh Chib qualified AIKF Referee Course examination. The test was taken by Shihan Lal Darda, AIKF vice-president.
