JKSC organizes Kabaddi match to promote sports spirit among women

* Div Com bats for holding such events in all districts

JAMMU, July 19: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) in collaboration with JK Amateur Kabaddi Association today organized a goodwill women Kabaddi match to encourage the Kabaddi players and to promote sports, moral & ethical values among youth, at Indoor Sports Stadium Jammu.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer was chief guest on the occasion, while Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh; president Kabaddi Association Anil Gupta; general secretary Surinder Mohan and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
The match was played between District Samba Sports Club and Sports Council 1 women under the overall supervision of Dr Zaffar Iqbal, Chief Accounts Officer, Sport Council on the directions of Secretary Sports Council J&K, Nuzhat Gul.
Divisional Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, appreciated JK Sports Council for organizing such sports activities. He said that sports activities should be organized for women in every district of the division to motivate the young players to join the sports. He also assured every possible support from the Divisional as well as District Administrations for promotion of sports.
Both the playing teams were felicitated with a cash amount of 10,000 each.
