JAMMU, May 14: Neete Kaur, a renowned athlete from Jammu and Kashmir, is set to lead the Indian 33+ Women’s Handball Team at the prestigious World Masters Games 2025 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This event, held every four years, gathers over 30,000 athletes from around the globe, competing in 35 sports disciplines.
Neete’s participation is a matter of immense pride for the region. A three-time international gold medalist in powerlifting, Neete has also excelled in a wide array of sports including badminton, athletics, Kabaddi, Basketball and marathon. Despite being over 46 years of age, her dedication to a disciplined fitness routine-including aerobics, yoga, and strength training-has helped her maintain peak performance. She is a strong advocate for the Fit India Movement, inspiring many women in the region.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Neete Kaur is the General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Master Games Association (JKMGA), working tirelessly to promote sports and fitness in the region. Through her fitness club, Queens Aerobics World, she empowers women to pursue active and healthy lifestyles.
The J&K Master Games Association, led by President Ranjit Singh Chib, has expressed immense pride in Neete’s achievements and hopes her participation will inspire the younger generation of Jammu and Kashmir to embrace sports at any age.
