JAMMU, Nov 2: 28 girl students of JK Police Public School Miran Sahib, Jammu participated in Girls Sports Educational Awareness Camp/ Festival held in Srinagar at JK PPS Srinagar Bemina, organized by PWWA in order give importance to women in today’s world.
The students brought laurels by winning 5 gold medals, one silver and one bronze and lifted the trophy for Tug of War, Kho- Kho, Kabaddi and March Past.
The gold medal winners included Himanshi Sharma, Gunjit Kour (Shooting), Mansi Sharma (Carrom), Sonia Sharma (Archery), Nargis Chodhary (Archery), while the silver medal was bagged by Diksha Sharma (Archery) and bronze medal was claimed by Karn Tazim.
They also won Rs 26,700 as cash prize, apart from other prizes.
School Principal, Sanjeev Pradhan lauded the efforts of the students and their teachers namely Deepika Rajput, Shivani Rajput and Parmit Singh for bringing laurels to the School.
