JAMMU, Jan 21: Young and promising J&K Yongmudo team excelled in 65th National School Games 2019-2020 by winning 13 medals, held at Durg, Chhattisgarh on January 12 to 16.
The championship was organised Government of Chhattisgarh, Directorate of Public Instructions Chhattisgarh under the agies of School Games Federation of India. The UT contingent was given warm welcome on their return to Jammu by Dr Amit Vaid, Chairman and members of Yongmudo Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
46 students participated in the event from all over the J&K UT and 13 were succeeded to clinch medals in different categories.
Utkarsh Bahu of Jammu district got Gold in U-14 Boys category and Usman Amin of Baramulla clinched Gold in U-17 Boys category while Vaso Dasgotra Boys and Priya Devi got each Silver in U-17 and U-19 Girls categories respectively.
Jasleen Kour,, Avneet Kour, Shaarvi Magazine, Palak and Anamika Sharma bagged Bronze in U-14, U-17, U-14, U-17 and U-19, in Girls categories respectively whereas Aditya Pratap, Keshav Saini, Burhan Nazir Parrey and Aman Sharma got Bronze in U-17, U-17, U-19 and U-19 in Boys categories respectively.
Chairman and other officer bearers of the Assoication congratulated all the participants and coaches for their excellent achievement and thanked to Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Directorate of YSS to give the golden opportunity to take part in the event.
