JAMMU, Apr 26: Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling team left for 50th Senior  Indian Style Wrestling Championship and Hind-Kesari title for men to be held from  April 27 to April 30, 2017 at Pune in Maharashtra.
The team was selected after final trials and screening test, under the overall supervision and aegis of J&K State Sports Council at Dewan Mandir  Akhara, Jammu. The team is being sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
The wrestlers who were selected for the championship and Hind Kesari included Jarnail Singh (51Kgs), Ranjeet Singh (55Kgs), Chain Singh (61Kgs), Bhushan Mehra (67Kgs), Balwan Singh (75Kgs), Rajesh Kumar (85Kgs), Abhishek Sangral (97Kgs) &  Diller Khan Hind Kesari (All are from J&K). Two Wrestlers among these can take part in Hind Kesari Title.
Krishan Singh, Wrestling Coach is accompanying the team as coach, while Sanjeev Sharma is the Manager/Technical Official.
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma while speaking  on the occasion appreciated the efforts of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association for preparing professional wrestlers..
Earlier, the team underwent screening conducted by the J&K State Sports Council under the observation of Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sports officer Jammu, Ravi Singh.
Those who were present on the occasion included Bansi Lal Tidyal (General Secretary), PR Sharma (Treasurer), Mulkh Raj Sharma (Chairman Selection Committee), Sanjeev Sharma and Krishan Singh, NIS Wrestling Coach of Police Team.
