JAMMU, Oct 4: J&K team brings laurels to State by winning three medals in the North Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship, which was held at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
In the Championship, 7 Northern States namely J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan participated.
Rahul Sharma and Prabhjyot Kour secured second position (Silver medal) in the Mixed doubles event, whereas Vipul Saini clinched third position (bronze medal) in Men Singles event.
Naman Mansotra and Peehushi Mahajan bagged third position (bronze medal) in the Junior Girls Doubles event.
Rahul Sharma and Prabhjyot Kour have qualified for the direct entry in the Senior National Badminton Championship, which will be held at Patna, Bihar. Vipul Saini has qualified for direct entry in the Senior Nationals, being held at Patna, Bihar.
