JAMMU, Sept 9: The Mountaineering Association of J&K will conduct 23rd Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) Sport Climbing championship from September 23 to 24.
About 200 climbers including national medallists from the districts of Anantnag, Budgam, Kishtwar, Kulgam, Pulwama, Reasi, Srinagar, Samba, Shopian, Kathua, Rajouri and Udhampur besides Jammu are likely to compete in the championship.
Since the selection of the J&K UT team for the 27th North Zone Sport Climbing Championship due to be held on the basis of performance of climbers in this competition. The competitions shall be conducted strictly as per IFSC rules whereas the specialized equipment is to be arranged by Mountaineering Association of J&K and Mitra Ghosh, an international Judge in Sport Climbing shall be the President of Jury.
