J&K U-19 Football team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU, Jan 25: Jammu and Kashmir Under-19 Football team left for the BC Roy Trophy being held at Shillong from January 29, 2020.
Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Dr Naseem Javaid Choudhary today flagged off the team in an impressive function.
The team was selected by the J&K Football Association (JKFA).
As per a handout issued by the JKFA, in 2017 J&K U-19 Football (1st Tier) team emerged as runners-up in Una, Himachal Pradesh thereby qualified for the 2nd Tier U-19 defeating giant states.
Among those office bearers of JKFA present included Z.A. Thakur (president JKFA), Surinder Singh Bunty (treasurer JKFA), Kuldeep Singh, Nazir Ahmed Bhat (vice president), Narinder Gupta (chairman DFA), Majid Kakroo (chief selector), Yusuf Don (secretary), Mohan Lal (direct member), Charanpreet Singh Bagga, Bharat Bhushan, Parveen Gupta.
Team is being accompanied by Intikhab Alam (coach), Moon Stephen as Manager and Vijay Kumar as a Fitness Trainer.
The team will play its first match on January 29 against West Bengal, followed by the next games against Karnataka on January 31 and Jharkhand on February two.
