JAMMU, Feb 14: India’s ace player and chief coach Sunny Nanda will guide the Indian National Speedball team to Indo-Nepal International Speedball Championship at Pokhara Nepal from February 17 to 21.
J&K Speedball team comprising Sunny Nanda and 9 other players including Ayush Dogra and Chetanya students of Banyan International School, Umair Latif Mir, student of DPS Nagbani, Yogant Singh student of DPS Jammu, Nirvaan Gupta, student of Air Force School, Jaskaran Singh and Dhruv Choudhary students of Jammu Sanskriti School and Amer Kushal and Sanam Abbas from Crescent Sports Club Janipur in the senior team.
The championship will be organised by Nepal Youth Sports Federation from February 17 to 21. A see off function was organised by J&K Sports Speedball Association for the selected players.
Adv Purnima Sharma, JMC Deputy Mayor was the chief guest, Ajay Gupta, JMC Chairman, Social Justice was the special guest and Tarun Uppal (President Jammu Speedball Association) and Kanwarjeet Singh (Member J&L Sports Speed Ball Association) were among the guests of honour.
Tarun Uppal said this will be a proud moment for all of us that nine players from J&K will represent India at international level. He also appreciated the efforts of Sunny Nanda (Chief Coach of India) and also congratulated the parents of selected players for this achievement.
