J&K team secure 4 bronze medals in Sub-Junior National Wushu C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 13: J&K Sub-Junior Wushu team won 4 bronze medals in the 16th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship held at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Approximately 35 units of the Wushu Association of India participated in the 6 Days National Championship event at Tamil Nadu.
Aayesh Hayat won bronze medal in 20 kg, Mohammad Saleem secure bronze medal in 52 kg, Fayaz Ahmed clinched bronze medal in 56 kg and Ranjay won bronze medal in 36 kg.
Ashi Jamwal was coach.
General Secretary of Wushu Association of J&K expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Sub-Junior Wushu team in the National Championship. “Players practice wushu sports in open in all the districts of J&K despite being the indoor sports and medal prospectus sports in the country and in the State. The Wushu sport is very popular in the State and has given good number of medals in the National and International level”, he added.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K, S Owais Ahmed, HK Lohia, Yogesh Sawhney, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma and Kuldeep Handoo congratulated the team and the medalists for their excellent performance in the national championship.
