JAMMU, Mar 22: To give fillip to cricket in the country and tap rural talent at grass-root level, Hindustan Premier League (HPL)-T20 Cricket League has been started from this year at the National Level. And the team from Jammu and Kashmir namely JK Super Fighters will take part in this prestigious league and vie for the top honours.
This was stated by Rauf Jeelani, Chairman HPL J&K while addressing media persons at Hotel Swagat, below Gummat, here today.
He said that the league will be telecast live from various venues of the country, adding that for picking the J&K Super Fighters team, Inter-District Tournament will be conducted in the month of April, wherein the authorised selection committee will pick 14 talented cricketers from all 22 districts.
He further said that there will be transparency in selection and the boys will be picked totally on merit and performance.
