SRINAGAR, Jan 20: After conducting 10th State Level Championships and selection trials successfully, the State squad for the 30th Senior National Baseball Championship was selected by the screening committee of J&K State Sports Council, under the chairmanship of Joint Secretary (K), Zameer Ahmad Thakur, here.
Other members of the Committee included Mushtaq Ahmad , Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir and two members of the Council Prof BA Shah and Nazir Ahmad.
“The State contingent comprises of 32 players of both men and women teams and 4 officials, which will represent the State in this prestigious event at the Karnataka under the banner of J&K State Sports Council in January, 2016,” said MM Gazanfar, president of J&K Baseball Association.
The said championship is being organized by the Karnataka Baseball Association under the auspices of Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
