J&K runners participate in Apollo marathon

JAMMU, Feb 26: A total of 11 runners from Jammu and Kashmir participated in the ‘Apollo New Delhi Marathon-2023 and exhibited their talent during the event.
During the marathon, more than 16000 runners participated from different parts of India as well as across the world including 11 runners from J&K.
Surinder Kanhaiya (Indian Flag Runner) from Jammu finished the 1st full marathon race with clocked timing 4 hour 23 minutes, while Sukhpal Singh -Secretary (Water Resources Regulatory Authority) also completed full marathon 42.2km (5 hours, 22 minutes) ,Vishal Kapoor clinched full marathon 42.2km with timing 4 hour 43 minutes , Abhishake Gupta clocked timing 3 hour 40 minutes, whereas Tina Sahi in female category also completed full marathon 42.2 km within 5 hour 18 minutes, Colonel RK Sharma half marathon (2 hrs, 22 minutes), Surinder Singh Inspector from State Taxes Department also clinched half marathon 21.1km within (2 hour 22 minutes), Raj Choudhary completed half marathon ( 2 hour 27 minutes), Puneet Bamba finished half marathon (2 hour 39 minutes) and Sahil Choudhary, owner of Anytime Fitness also clinched half marathon (2hr 12 Minutes).
Vasudha Samnotra also finished half marathon in female category (2 hr 28 minutes).
The marathon was organized on February 26.
