J&K Police’s Jashn-e-Dal gets underway at Dal lake

SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Jammu & Kashmir Police’s three-day long water sports festival ‘Jashn-e-Dal-2021’ under its Civic Action Programme (CAP) got underway at SKICC Dal lake, here today.
The event is being organized under the patronage of DGP Dilbag Singh, whereas SJM Gillani- ADGP Armed J&K is the chairman and Vijay Kumar-IGP Kashmir Zone is the organising secretary of the event, wherein more than 600 players are participating in the event, which will conclude on October 9.
The closing ceremony of the ‘Jashn-e-Dal’ shall be graced by Arun Kumar Mehta- Chief Secretary J&K (UT) as the chief guest on the occasion.
During the 1st and 2nd days of the sports festival ‘Jashn-e-Dal’, 21 events were organised. The Sports Officer (Sports) APHQ Dushyant Sharma-SSP, Commandant IRP-9th Bn Abdul Qayoom-SSP and Shabir Nawab-SSP were chief guests at the presentation ceremony and presented medals to the winners.
First three winners of each event were awarded with top three medals include Ansar Ali Matoo, Mohsin Ali and Showkat Ahmad in the event K-1 500 mtrs (men); whereas the first three position holders in K-2 500 mtrs (men) were Maqsood/ Villayat, Dawood/ Ansar of and Mohsin/ Aamir and in K-2 200 mtrs (men), the first three position holders were Villayat Hussain/ Maqsood and Ishfaq/ Altaf Hussain and Ansar Ali/ Dawood Hussain; besides in C-1 500 mtrs (men), the first three position holders were Mysar Ahmad, Asif Ali Malik and Waseem Raja of Living Kashmir and in C-2 500 mtrs (men) the first three position holders were Adil/ Asif , Ahsan/ Myser and Irfan/ Waseem.
In C-1 200 mtrs, first three position holders were Mysar Bhat, Adil Hussain and Waseem Raja; whereas in C-2 200 mtrs, the first three position holders were Asif Ali/ Adil Hussain, Khalid/ Yaseer and Masior/ Ahsan. In K-1 500 mtrs (Women), the first three position holders were Nabeela, Ruksana and Nisha, In K-2 500 mtrs (Women), the first three position holders were Shaista/ Nabeela, Yasmeena/ Nadiya and Nisha/ Shafili and in K-2 200 mtrs, the first three position holders were Nisha/ Shafali, Asifa/ Tabasum and Yasmeena/ Naida.
In K-1 200 mtrs (Sub-Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Danish Abbas, Umer Ahmad and Aarif Hussain, whereas in K-1 200 mtrs (Sub-Junior Girls), the first three position holders were Nabila Khan, Anuksha and Saquib Zehra, and in K-1 500 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Fida Hussain, Amir Ali and Uzair, besides in K-1 200 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Mohd Abbas, Mohsin Ali and Dawood , whereas in K-2 200 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Fida/ Mohd Abbas, Mohsin/ Amir and Uzair/ Arfat and in C-1 500 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Adil Hussain, Mohd Akbar and Sahil Abbas. Moreover, in C-2 500 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Shahnaz/ Danish, Zahid Hussain/ Adil Hussain and Owais Ali/ Mohd Akbar, whereas in C-1 200 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Basit, Owais Ali and Sahil Abbas and in C-2 200 mtrs (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Zahid/ Adil Hussain, Sahil Abbas/ Asif Ali and Mohd Akbar/ Owais.
In Long Distance Swimming (Men), the first three position holders were Waseem Raja, Khalid Majeed and Yawar Hussain and in Long Distance Swimming (Junior Boys), the first three position holders were Mohd Abbas Kand, Ashiq Hussain and Anas Bhat.
