Volleyball tournament concludes at Jagti

JAMMU, Oct 8: Volleyball tournament, organised by Global Solace- a Jagti Migrants Mini Township based NGO, concluded at Jagti, near here today.
About six teams participated in the weeklong Volleyball tournament. The final match was played between Seven Strikers, led by Aryan Pandita and RKM, led by Sahil Bhat which was won by Seven Strikers by 3-2 sets.
The players who displayed extraordinary game during the matches were Vishal Bhat and Sahil Bhat. The winners were awarded with Rs 2100, while the runner up team was given Rs 1100 and the best players were awarded with mementos and jerseys.
Ashok Pandita, Relief Commissioner was the chief guest, while Prof Ashok Aima, former Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu, Rajesh Bhagati (Camp Commandant), MK Yogi, MK Bangroo, CP Koul and Ashwani Bhat, were guests of honour. They distributed prizes among the winners and runner up teams.
While interacting with the youth and players, Kiran Watal, chief patron of Global Solace and vice president of Gymnastic Federation of India appreciated all the participating players and assured the players that the Society will help and support them in all respects to explore their talent.
RL Koul, Soom Nath Gurtoo, PL Pandita, Bitu Bhat, ML Pandroo, Ravi, Kuldip Razdan, AK Sadhu and many others were present during the event.
